Education today cannot be confined to textbooks, classrooms and examinations.
As educators, our responsibility is to open doors—to expose our students to new ideas, emerging technologies, real-world challenges and the possibilities that await them beyond the walls of our institution.
At Aditya College of Allied Health Sciences, this is the learning environment we aspire to create. I want our students to be curious, confident and willing to explore—to understand that their professional journey is much larger than the curriculum they study.
Our recently concluded CME on Artificial Intelligence in Allied Health Sciences was one such initiative. For me, its successful completion is not an endpoint, but a beginning.
The sessions on AI in Pathology, Radiology & Medical Imaging, and Anaesthesia gave our students valuable insights into how artificial intelligence is transforming healthcare—enhancing diagnostics, supporting clinical decision-making and contributing to better patient safety.
What made the CME truly meaningful was the way our esteemed speakers brought their clinical expertise and real-world professional experience into every session. They went beyond theoretical concepts and demonstrated how AI is already finding its place in diagnostics, medical imaging, clinical practice and perioperative care.
Their practical examples helped our students understand not just what AI can do, but how it can actually be applied in their future workplaces. More importantly, the discussions reinforced an essential message: technology may transform healthcare, but human expertise, clinical judgement, ethics and compassionate patient care will always remain at its heart.
A special highlight of the CME was the enthusiastic interaction between our students and the speakers—from traditional blackboard teaching to engaging discussions and rapid-fire quizzes. The energy, curiosity and participation of our students made the sessions truly memorable and helped bridge the gap between classroom learning and the rapidly evolving world of healthcare technology.
I extend my heartfelt gratitude to our respected Chairman, Dr. B. A. Vishwanath Sir, for his visionary leadership, constant encouragement and unwavering support in creating opportunities that allow our students and faculty to grow, learn and evolve.
My sincere thanks also to our respected Chairperson, Dr. Priya Vishwanath Ma’am, for her gracious presence, continued encouragement and support in making initiatives such as this possible.
We are deeply grateful to our distinguished speakers, Dr. Prabhu Meganathan, Mr. Dinesh Sekar and Dr. Bhargavi Viswanath, for generously sharing their knowledge, clinical experience and valuable insights with our students.
I also appreciate the dedicated efforts of our faculty members, coordinators and students who worked together to make the programme a success.
For us, this CME was not merely an academic programme. It was a meaningful step towards preparing our students to become future-ready, technology-enabled, clinically competent, skilled and compassionate healthcare professionals.
Because education is not about filling minds with information. It is about opening minds to possibilities.
